We are looking for an Architectural Technologist / Draughtsperson

*Job Profile *
You will work with designers and consultants using your technical drawing expertise to create and deliver CAD/Revit documents for projects. Your plans and drawings will bring Trizart's performance to life, both in terms of the spatial layout of the building and the architectural integration of specialized equipment and systems such as sound, lighting, rigging, stage machinery, stage masking, etc.
You will follow your projects through to completion and deliverables. You will participate in meetings with stakeholders and professionals (architecture, structure, electromechanics, etc.). You will review and annotate the various generations of plans issued by the project team.

You will have an academic background in building technology or architectural technology or other and at least 2 years of professional experience. You are familiar with architectural, structural and electrical drafting. You are familiar with recent versions of AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and Revit. You must be bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.

This is a full-time position with flexibility in alternating office and remote work.

As part of the team, you will be required to:

  • Participate in design meetings with the project teams;
  • In collaboration with the designer or project manager, prepare and execute technical drawings of the architectural parameters and specialized equipment related to the building's scenography;
  • Produce drawings in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and Revit;
  • Carry out the layout of the equipment on the drawings;
  • Produce drawings, plans and diagrams from sketches, tables and various data using CAD development tools;
  • Provide technical assistance to team members in terms of drawing;
  • Comply with established technical drawing procedures and policies;
  • Follows up on projects and ensure that documents are in order;
  • Validate technical drawings;
  • Communicate regularly with the team on the progress and changes to be made by carrying out interdisciplinary coordination of projects;
  • Participate in the preparation of specification documents and technical studies;
  • Participate in site supervision;
  • Archive and document completed projects.

Qualifications and skills

  • A background in architecture, technical drawing or any other training deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum experience of 2 years;
  • Knowledge of the cultural and/or high-level sports industry is an asset;
  • Good knowledge of construction standards;
  • Ability to communicate with clients and professionals;
  • Experience in the field of architecture or consulting services (an asset) ;
  • Dynamic, autonomous and professional;
  • Project management skills;
  • French, English spoken and written essential;
  • Knowledge of the Office 365 suite;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and Revit;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • ASP construction site health and safety certification (an asset);

Job profile:

The Business Development Specialist collaborates in the growth and development of new markets. Under the authority of the President, the responsibilities and activities of the position include:

  • Marketing and business development correspondence;
  • Searches on the Internet and on public tender sites;
  • Identify business opportunities and develop new national and international markets;
  • Establish long-term business relationships with customers and partners;
  • Ensure sales growth;
  • Logistics and organization for trade shows and exhibitions;
  • Represent the company at corporate events;
  • Update of the website content and social media;
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of customer contacts;
  • Participate in the preparation of service proposals.

Skills and expertise required:

  • Fluently bilingual in French and English, oral and written. A third language (Spanish, Italian, German or Mandarin) would be an asset;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in representation, sales, communications and/or marketing;
  • Knowledge of the cultural and/or high-level sports industry is an asset;
  • Experience in an engineering or architectural office an asset;
  • Proficient with office software packages in Windows environment (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, InDesign);
  • Interpersonal skills and dynamism and perseverance;
  • Very good writing skills and excellent ability to summarize;
  • Willingness to travel to attend meetings with various clients as well as trade shows and exhibitions;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Creativity, curiosity and interest in learning and developing new skills;
