Since the construction of the theatre in 1964 on the site of the former Charlottetown marketplace, the Confederation Centre for Arts in Prince Edward Island is a true cultural hub welcoming thousands of visitors each year.
To pursue its mission of promoting visual and performing arts in a fresh, up-to-date environment, the Confederation Centre of the Arts began a much deserved makeover in 2011 with our team of theatr consultants. The project, implemented in phases, includes new balconies, technical rooms and patron circulation in the main hall, new seats, main stage and support areas renovations, replacement of manual fly system by a motorized batten system, replacement of two stage lifts and automated seat wagons as well as specialized theatre and audiovisual equipment.
