The Banff Centre is a globally respected art, cultural and educational institution located in the Banff national park in the Canadian province of Alberta. In the fall of 2005, Trizart Alliance was commissioned to develop the centre’s master plan for a complete renovation of its theatre facilities and the creation of a state of the art Performing Arts Complex that will feature new performance spaces, studio spaces, workshop spaces, presentation spaces and public spaces. The master plan included the definition of a functional program, new space plan, recommendations for the future growth and development of the theatre arts complex as well as a building sequence plan in order to prioritize the construction sequences in a phased building approach.
