Yves has a background in architecture and over 20 years of experience as a theatre consultant. Specializing in the design and spatial planning of venues, he pays special attention to the volumes, slope and curves of a hall to optimize its intimacy and conviviality. Yves is responsible for the stage-hall relationship including site lines and seating layouts as well as the functional arrangement of support areas (dressing rooms, workshops, storage, etc.).
He began his career with architectural firms in Paris, among which Architecture Studio, and in Montreal with Saucier Perrotte Architects.
Some of the many projects that bear Yves' signature include: the Amphithéâtre Cogeco, the Montreal Casino cabaret, the Orford Arts Centre, the St-Georges de Beauce cultural centre, the Shenkman Arts Centre, the Luxor Showroom (Criss Angel's Believe) in Las Vegas, the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique de Montréal, the GRAND Theatre, the Théâtre de Quat'Sous, the Grand Théâtre de Québec's major renovation, the Centre des Arts Juliette-Lassonde in St-Hyacinthe, the Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne and the Salle Desjardins-Telus in Rimouski.
