In anticipation of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec City, the Grand Théâtre de Québec has initiated major renovations of the Salle Louis-Fréchette and has retained the services of Trizart Alliance as theatre consultant. The mandate included the reconfiguration of the hall and the replacement of the seats, balconies and orchestra pit platforms to improve sightlines and comfort.
The Grand Théâtre de Québec was a long-term project which began in 1963 when Jean Lesage suggested creating a ‘monument’ to commemorate the centenary of the Confederation.
