O2 Theatre

Trizart Alliance was commissioned as theatre consultant by AEG Europe to conduct the feasibility study, concept and preliminary design of a new 1,800-seat theatre located inside the O2 Arena dome.

The concept involved all specialized theatre and audiovisual equipment including sound, video, stage lighting, stage dressing and machinery. The stage house structure and effective management of public areas had to meet the many easements and technical constraints of the site. The challenge was to design a building that would not exceed one storey, without resorting to an excavation beyond the structure of the masts of the dome.
